Water is drinkable

Humans survive up to 50 days without solid food, but only a few days without liquid. In order to stay healthy, our organism needs a even water balance - that is, we have to consume the amount of water the body excretes.

A healthy person should drink at least one and a half litres of water throughout the day. The rest is balanced by solid food, especially fruit and vegetables. Heavy physical work, heat and physical activity increase the need for fluids.

Water is healthy and tastes good.

Water is everywhere in it

Adults consist of approx. 70 % water, infants of approx. 80 %. Fruit and vegetables contain a lot of water. Did you know, for example, that poultry, sausages and some cheeses consist of up to 75% water? Bread, eggs, other bakery products and jam, on the other hand, contain only 25 to 50 %. Foods with a water content of more than 50 % are generally considered to be rich in water.

The pictures on the wall show the percentage of water in the individual foods.
